Get Well Soon Uncle Tony

One of my uncles is not very well in hospital at the mo. Mum asked me to make him a Get Well card. I did this one first but then thought it was a bit too modern for mum to send, so made another. Hopefully he likes both of them :o)

I used a sketch from MojoMonday as inspiration. The papers are Pebbles Inc and the stamp is the cute frog from the Stampin Up Unfrogettable set.

For this one, I used a sketch from 2Sketches4U. The image is a quick, convenient and very cute Forever Friends sticker.

Busy busy busy

After working through most of this weeks lunch breaks, I'm putting my foot down (ouch that hurt!) and having some "me" time today. So the plan is to do a quick update on here and then settle down for an uninterrupted half hour with the new fab Stampin Up catalogue :o)

Right here goes. I realised last night that I hadn't shown a piccie of the card that I made for my mum and dad to give to my niece. The request "from the birthday girl" was that I had to base it on the card that I received from Kerrie. She loved it :o)
The cupcake stamp is Imaginisce and the papers are a combination of Pebbles and a bit of Doodlebug.
The look of the card isn't the only thing that Kerrie had influence over - the other is the yummy bling. I happened to mention to her that I was probably going to get a Bejeweller - before I knew it, she'd sent me the link for one that was not only cheaper than anywhere else but was also PINK !!!!! Thank you Kerrie (((hugs)))

First Acetate Book

It doesn't seem possible that it's been a year since I made my first mini book using my Bind It All. Amy (my niece) still raves about that book :o)

Well the request this year was for something "different" but I had to use the piccie that I took on our holiday in Greece. So here it is ---- my first ever Acetate book.

I'm really pleased with how it's turned out. I bought the acetate from Hobbycraft before I even knew that I was going to make her a book. Hmmm I wonder what I bought it for ??? LOL

Anyway, the papers, ribbons and cupcake stamp are Stampin' Up. I've used bits of Doodlebug as well.

Her birthday's tomorrow so fingers crossed, she will like it :o)

A Mags card

Anyone who knows Mags will know that she's a very special lady :o) Sooooo I wanted to make her a special card for her birthday.

After gaining inside information ;o) that she'd liked the "card" that I'd made for Sam and was loving turquoise and brown at the mo - this card kind of created itself.

It was nice to do a girlie version of Sam's book. On that one, I had to add football references but on Mags' I could use flowers and glitter - yippeee! LOL

The stamps are Imaginisce and Stampin' Up.

You're the Bestest

I love the name of this Penny Black stamp. This card is for my mum and dad to send to my auntie. She's a lovely lady so this stamp was perfect for her.

I can't remember who the paper is from.

Here's the card that I made for her using my new Magnolia Tilda stamp. I don't like most of the new ones but this one caught my eye so I had to have it LOL

Both cards use Penny Black sentiment stamps. The papers are from the Stampin' Up Certainly Celery and Close to Cocoa Designer collections.

New homes

Before I went on holiday, I made 2 New Home cards. Both cards use this gorgeous Penny Black mouse stamp and Stampin Up stamps, ribbons and papers.

This one is for a very good friend and her family who've has just moved into their new house in Australia. Me jealous ---- of course LOL!

This one is for my cousin and his wife. They moved from Eastbourne to Southampton in July so I was a bit late with the card. They aren't just celebrating moving house though - my cousin started a new job (which he was head hunted for) and they're expecting their first baby in the next few months :o) So the SU sentiment was perfect !

Zante :o)

Well it's been a week since my last post as I've been away on the Greek island of Zante.

The weather was fab which made flying into Luton a bit of a shock yesterday. It wasn't nice to go from the 36degC heat of Zante to the 15degC chill and hail storms at Luton airport.
