Parents birthdays

Once again I'm blogging about how awkward it is having parents with birthdays within a few days of each other.

All I will say is ----- thank gawd for friends and forums LOL

The inspiration for mum's card came from seeing a card that the fab Kerrie made.

And here's dad's card. Competition time on the forum and the theme was Easel cards. Ummm I came first :D Very very happy :)
Stamps: Stampin Up Choo Choo and train track roller. I had great fun doing the train track. Nearly ended up with having them all over my craft room walls LOL
Paper/Ribbon: Stampin Up - can't remember the name of the pack
Card: Stampin Up Kraft, Early Espresso and Brocade Blue
Letters: Sizzix Go Slim

Amy's scrapbook

Well it's been 4 months since my last post. I have no idea where the time has gone --- football, family, work, craft and more football (mighty Spurs qualifying for Champions League woohoo) have kept me very busy.

I can't promise that I'm going to be blogging more regularly as I know that family stuff is going to take priority in the upcoming few months --- but I will try.

Anyway, the project that has been keeping me occupied for the last few months is my niece's 18th scrapbook. I kept saying that I wouldn't have a last minute panic but yep I did. I have to say a huge thank you to Kerrie for giving me a kick when I needed it :o)
Here are some piccies of some of my favourite pages:
Love this paper from Basic Grey

Pretty in Pink

A good friend recently turned 40 and she's a fellow Denami Design stamp fan and Pink so this card kind of made itself :)

Auntie to a 21 year old!!!

One post a month - I'm getting better LOL

I made this mini book for my nephew who turned 21 last month --- how on earth did that happen?!?!?!? It doesn't seem like 2 minutes ago that he was a toddler shouting "Dare" up the stairs LOL

Anyway, I wasn't going to make him anything as he said that he didn't want a handmade card but his mum (my sister) persuaded me to make this. I think he liked the idea of it but didn't like the photos aarrggghhh. Anyway, my sister was pleased with it :o)

Ribbons and plain card stock are Stampin Up. I can't remember who the papers are from but they're ideal for male cards :D

Quickutz Birds

I'd been trying for ages to find the Quickutz bird die. I even resorted to trying to pinch Becky's but we ;o) got caught so I thought I'd never be able to get my own :o( There's only so many times that you can check Ebay and be disappointed. Thankfully, after a crafty weekend away with friends, the fantastic Nikki took up the challenge to find the die and ----- woohoo she did it. She is a genius (((hugs)))

My only problem now is that I have to force myself to NOT use it on every card LOL

Bad blogger

I can't believe that it's been 3 months since I blogged. I've had loads going on at home and doing crazy hours at work that the time's flown by. I have been able to do the important things like crafting, catching up with friends/family and of course going to Spurs matches. Shame about the FA cup defeat to Pompey but we've just beaten Ar5ena1 and Chelski so I'm back to being a happy Spurs fan :D

Anyway, I will try and blog what I've made recently. So watch this space :)

Christmas catch up

I think everyone should have received their Christmas cards by now so it's safe for me to put them on here LOL

I had specific orders from Amy that she wanted a pink Christmas card!

Competition cards

Here are the 3 cards that I entered into a competition on a crafty forum. The theme was "anything goes" which was a great relief as I really had had enough of Christmas LOL

And this card came joint 3rd - yippee!
I was going to say that I was shocked that I hadn't used any Stampin Up products on any of the cards but ...... I've just realised that the card stock that I used for matting/layering and the ribbon were --- Stampin Up LOL

ITunes voucher holder

This was a last minute make on Christmas Eve. My parents bought my nephew an Itunes voucher and I decided - at the last minute - that they couldn't give it to him in just an envelope.

Happy New Year!

It's been a while since I posted but we had loads of snow before Christmas/New Year and then had loads more last week. So I could get to work, as I don't drive in the snow, I stayed over at my parents and walked the mile to work every day. This has meant that I haven't been able to craft as much as I'd like to but "fingers crossed" the current lot of snow is starting to thaw so we can get on with the rest of the year in a normal way :o)

Anyway, I get a bit snap happy during when it has snowed. It should normally take about 20 minutes to walk the mile from my parents house to my work but taking my camera with me meant that the walk lasted about ummm 40 minutes. Here's one of my fave photos - not bad considering that it was taken at 8am and I was frozen LOL

You can tell that I'm now completely fed up with the snow as I didn't take my camera with me on Friday. Thankfully, the snow is starting to thaw!
