Race 4 Life

Here is the page that I did for this weeks challenge on UKScrappers.

The requirements were to scrap an achievement, 4 of something, journalling in a circle and stitching. I cheated a bit on the stitching as I used rub ons ;o)

The piccie is of my mum, sister, niece and moi when we completed the Race for Life last year. I can't believe that it will be a year next month since we completed it. Looking at this piccie, my sister has lost so much weight - even her youngest son noticed when he saw this page yesterday.

I love the new Doodlebug papers especially the pink ones LOL

Same brads - well kind of LOL The top ones are the new yummy Doodlebug velvet covered brads and the bottom one is a Doodlebug mind brad.

The only difference is the layout. Both layouts are from the fab sketch site Mojo Monday

Happy Dad's Day

It's been over a week since my last post as I've been really busy at work. I've just about been managing to keep on top of the cards but I haven't had any chance to scrapbook. Fingers crossed, it should calm down a bit a work. Yesterday was the first Saturday that I haven't worked in ages - so that's a good sign :o)

Anyway, it's Father's Day here in the UK and here's the card that I made for my dear ol' dad. The problem is that I forgot to give it to him - ooops! I knew that I wasn't going to be seeing him today but totally forgot to take it round his house yesterday - my niece told him that he should disown me (cheeky devil!). He doesn't visit my Blog very often so I think it's okay to have it on here. I did offer to email it to him but he's said that he can wait till Wednesday. I'd better at least write in it LOL



The image is a stamp that I bought at Ally Pally. I can't remember the companies name though. Papers are Doodlebug and the DAD & 1 are Thickers and "number" is a Quickutz alpha

Coaster Box

I made this Coaster Box for a special friend as part of a swap.

It's my first ever one and I thoroughly enjoyed making it especially as it meant that I could use pink and green and all my favourite crafty bits - Nestabilities, Cuttlebug, Flowers etc etc etc :o)

Cute pup

It's my cousins birthday on 21st June and I always struggle with cards for guys. He emigrated to Australia (lucky devil) last year so I always try to send him a card.
I used a sketch that Kerrie posted on a forum and it was perfect for this card.

The stamp is Whipper Snapper and I coloured it in using my Luminarte Twinkling H2O's. It's been a while since I used them and it's been great to go back to them. Still love my Zig Brushables though LOL

The sentiment is Hero Arts and I used Doodlebug rub ons for the "cousin" bit. I need to check who makes the papers.

It's not very clear but I've used some of my new yummy Doodlebug crushed velvet on the collar.

Aren't they cute?

I had to order some bits from Glitter Pot and these cute little pots of yummy crushed velvet just fell into my basket ;o)



This sampler set is really handy and is going to last me forever LOL
