Amy's scrapbook

Well it's been 4 months since my last post. I have no idea where the time has gone --- football, family, work, craft and more football (mighty Spurs qualifying for Champions League woohoo) have kept me very busy.

I can't promise that I'm going to be blogging more regularly as I know that family stuff is going to take priority in the upcoming few months --- but I will try.

Anyway, the project that has been keeping me occupied for the last few months is my niece's 18th scrapbook. I kept saying that I wouldn't have a last minute panic but yep I did. I have to say a huge thank you to Kerrie for giving me a kick when I needed it :o)
Here are some piccies of some of my favourite pages:
Love this paper from Basic Grey

Diane's 40th scrapbook

Well out of the 20 pages in sister's 40th scrapbook - I haven't shown 13 of them on here --- ooops! Here they are - better late than never LOL

I used Page Map sketches for the whole of the scrapbook. I don't know what I've done without them :o)

Pink Glitter Gals Challenge

It was my teams (the fantastic Pink Glitter Gals) turn to set the Weekly Challenge over on UKScrappers.

What we came up with was:

1. Use our chosen Becky Fleck round page map
2. Celebration or Achievement theme
3. 5 of something
4. Use pink and glitter

We really enjoyed setting the challenge. 5 of us did our example pages on our Center Parcs weekend.

and here's my page :o)
Photobucket

Very proud of my niece for getting through having braces. She had them for just over 18 months and she really persevered - including having implants in her gums - ouch!

Race 4 Life

Here is the page that I did for this weeks challenge on UKScrappers.

The requirements were to scrap an achievement, 4 of something, journalling in a circle and stitching. I cheated a bit on the stitching as I used rub ons ;o)

The piccie is of my mum, sister, niece and moi when we completed the Race for Life last year. I can't believe that it will be a year next month since we completed it. Looking at this piccie, my sister has lost so much weight - even her youngest son noticed when he saw this page yesterday.

I love the new Doodlebug papers especially the pink ones LOL

Finally a page

Here's the page that I did for a competition. The theme was Celebration so these piccies of nephew's team celebrating their League win was perfect. It did make me laugh that, no matter how big the match, their football boots come first - especially when they spend loads on them!!!

Another page

I did this page for this week challenge over on UKScrappers
The challenge was to scrap a picture of myself (at any age), use ribbons (that was easy!), blooms and "seen" journalling.

The piccie is of me on a Primary school trip to Cuffley Camp. I'm on the left (very embarassing) LOL. When you live in this area, Cuffley Camp was the place where all the kids went for their first trip away from home. Eeuuuwww I can still smell the outside toilet facilities!!!

I am planning on making some cards this weekend :o)

The Apprentice

Not the tv programme but my youngest nephew when he was a little one (he might be 12 but he's still not that big LOL)

He used to love watching his grandad "fix" things. Very often my dad would be trying to fix something with Sam sat on his lap blocking his view.

Anyway, here's the page that I did for this weeks challenge over on UKScrappers

The is Doodlebug and the alpha is a Quickutz one.

Easter Snow

It seemed so weird to have snow at Easter (even though we've had more today!) that I thought I'd do a scrapbook page.

School Days

Yippeee I've done another couple of pages for my sister's 40th scrapbook. Thankfully, this weeks challenge over on UKScrappers gave me another kick up the bum and I came up with the 1st page which then kind of led to the 2nd one.

Remind me not to tell my sister, when I give her the scrapbook next January, that her school pictures were on my blog.

Feeding Time

Forgot to show the page that I did for last weeks challenge over on UKScrappers. The challenge was to to have a watery theme, use glitter (very easy for me to do !!!), use purple and ribbons. Really enjoyed doing this page.

I used a Pencil Lines sketch for inspiration.

Drive my Car

I love this picture of my niece and it seemed ideal for last weeks challenge over on UKScrappers The challenge was to use a Beatles song for the title, red, summer colours, paint and 7 of something.

Amy loved this car that her nan and grandad got her for her 4th birthday. Over the years, that car got a lot of use by her and her younger brother.

I've started it

I spent most of last year saying that I was going to do a scrapbook for my sister's 40th birthday next year. Well, the big news is that I've finally done a couple of pages for it.
It did take a bit of doing to get her to give me her adoption certificate, without her getting suspicous. I told her that I wanted to do a scrapbook page with all our families important certificates on - hope she't not expecting to see it ---- eeeek! After finding it last week, she declared that she had 2 birthdays - her actual one and the one where she officially became mum and dad's daughter 15 months later. Double eek she'd better not be expecting us to make a fuss for her 40th two years in a row.

I now need to work out how to get her to hand over her wedding certificate and her kids birth certificates. Any ideas welcome. Think I might have to rope in my niece to help ;o)

I used a Pencil Lines sketch - I think it was #69. The papers are Doodlebug and the chipboard alphas are from K&Co - they are gorgeous and glittery IRL

This weeks challenge

What with making all those Christmas cards, it had been a while since I did a scrapbook page but I finally did one last week.

This weeks challenge on http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/ was the ideal oppurtunity to break the drought. The title had to be a Take That song and ~ as I love the boys ~ it was perfect.

Good Company

Ooooh 2 posts in the one day :o)

Here's my page for this weeks challenge over on http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/. Doing this layout has helped me get full points for my team - the Pink Glitter Girls !!!

The challenge was to scrap a picture using:
  • Disney film or song as the title

  • 4 items of something

  • Fancy edge scissors

  • Autumn colours

The picture is of my sisters family dog who sadly died about this time last year. Snoopy (Loopy) was a lovely dog who really was a great company.
