Grandsons

I haven't got any but that doesn't stop me having to make the cards.

These are for my parents to give to my 2 nephews. The footballer one was for my youngest nephew Sam who turned 12 on Thursday. He loved both this card and the "book" that I gave to him.

The other one originally was for Sam but I decided that it looked to old for a 12 year old. Soooo I've changed it so that it's for Daniel who'll be 19 at the end of this month. Now need to do mine for him - help!!!!!!!!

More snow

Here's what we woke up to this morning. I know it was forecast but it is blooming April!!! This time last week it might have been chilly but we had gorgeous blue skies and fab sunshine. What a difference a week can make. Hope it's not like this next weekend as we're off to White Hart Lane on Saturday and Ally Pally on Sunday. Better start praying for warm weather now!!!

Meeting the teams

It was my eldest nephews cup final on Sunday. It was a good match but they lost 2-1 in the end. Daniel looked like he'd lost £100 and found 1p.

The only reason for posting on my blog about is because of this .....

It really made us laugh that, it might have been only the "Welwyn Hatfield Division 3 League Cup Final" but they still had a dignitary to meet before the start.

Red and White .....

..... in our family that can only mean one thing ---- Liverpool F.C. !!!

It's my youngest nephews birthday on Thursday and I wanted to do something a bit different for his card. This is what I've come up with :o)

I used Inkscape to join the letters to the rectangles and then used my Quickutz Silhouette to cut them out. To make the card a bit sturdier, I cut out 2 sets of images for each letter - 1 normal and 1 mirrored. I'm really pleased with how it's turned out.

More squares

Here's the other 2 cards that I made for the "squares" competition.

Build A Flower

This card is really different from my normal style. I made it for a competition that was to use Squares - it came 3rd :) I wanted to make one that didn't use any cute stamps. Although, I did manage to use a couple of the Hero Arts ribbon stamps. I also love the brown/pink heart paper - I'm down to my last half a 12x12 sheet - better get some more LOL

It's actually for my mum to give to her sister and they both loved it.

I used Beate's weekend sketch for the layout
